Coronavirus Measures and Precautions

As we navigate the new challenges emerging due to the coronavirus (COVID-19), we would like to inform you of measures we are taking to minimize exposure risks to our residents, their families, our staff, and visitors.

We have detailed plans in place to address emergencies and unexpected events such as this, and would like to assure you that maintaining your health, wellness, and safety is our number one priority.   Our nurses and staff are trained in infection control practices and follow strict protocols based on that training.  Infection control and safety supplies and equipment are in place and available.

Remember to take extra care to help prevent the spread of infection by washing your hands often; avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth; and staying in your apartment if you feel sick.  To further protect yourself, frequently touched surfaces in your residence can be cleaned with a cleaning spray or wipes, following manufacturers’ instructions.

We will continue to monitor official resources on the spread of the virus.  For your protection, all out of community activities have been cancelled until further notice.  In addition, we are limiting visitor access to the community.  If you have any family members or visitors who are feeling ill, or who recently traveled internationally, we ask that you encourage them to refrain from visiting the community at this time.

We are continually monitoring information from official sources, such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, and other partner and member organizations.  As this is an evolving issue, we will stay informed of updates and new resources, and make revisions regularly to our procedures as required.  We will continue to update you on any news, emerging issues, or scheduling changes, and apologize in advance for any inconvenience these measures may cause.

Stay safe, and please feel free to contact us anytime with questions, concerns or suggestions.
